COSTS & EXPENSES

     Many people often ask how much it costs to keep a program like Miles of Smiles running.  Well, it's hard to say for sure what our exact budget is due to the ever-changing cost of living!  One thing that we do know for sure though is that we have 10 to 12 horses to feed and care for throughout the year.  It is estimated that the cost per horse is $12.00 per day to keep one horse, and therefore the care of our horses alone comes to $52,560.00 per year!!  We also have the upkeep of the property and equipment, and regular utility bills, as well!

Organizations, social groups, businesses and individuals can all help meet the needs of our program!  A contribution of any size is greatly appreciated.  MOST contributions are tax deductible.  Please contact your tax advisor.

Adopt a Rider Program

On occasion, businesses and/or individuals choose to Adopt-A-Rider when donating to the program.
The monies may be set aside for a specific individual (whom will be contacted), or the monies are put in
a fund for any rider who wishes to apply.  If you would like to become
a sponsor for this program, an application must be filled out and reviewed by the Board of Directors.   Please contact the Miles of Smiles office at 620-260-9997 or email   miles_of_smiles@sbcglobal.net .

Donate your used vehicles to Miles Of Smiles, and get a tax deduction!

• Cars, trucks, motorcycles, vans, jet skies, snowmobiles, motor homes, buses and even airplanes can be donated.  It doesn't even have to run, you just need to have a clear title.
• You will receive a tax letter containing the allowable tax value listed for your vehicle.  Consult your tax advisor for more information about this, as the law has recently changed.
• There is no cost to you!  Donation Line pays for towing your vehicle, and they have service available nationwide.
